The Student ID app functions as a student ID card for various purposes, including use with student welfare associations and public transportation companies (e.g., Ruter, Vy). It is valid on par with physical student cards and paper receipts. In some cases, you may still need your physical student card to access buildings and borrow books, depending on the institution you attend.
To ensure the validity of your student ID, you must have paid the semester fee and completed semester registration. If your photo does not appear in the app, you must have another valid form of identification along with the app.
The app is available in both Norwegian and English and follows the default language settings on your phone.
